The Paseo Wedding Venue in Arizona | A Complete Wedding Guide

The Paseo wedding venue with Superstition Mountains in the background

The Paseo wedding venue with Superstition Mountains in the background

If you’re searching for a wedding venue that actually feels like Arizona in the best possible way, The Paseo is probably already on your radar.
And honestly? For good reason.

There are plenty of Arizona wedding venues with desert views. But The Paseo hits differently. Maybe it’s the Superstition Mountains towering behind the ceremony site. Maybe it’s the way sunset turns the entire desert gold for about fifteen unreal minutes. Or maybe it’s because the space somehow feels both elevated and relaxed at the same time.

We’ve seen a lot of Arizona wedding venues. Some are gorgeous online but stressful in person. Some photograph beautifully but don’t actually feel comfortable for guests. The Paseo is one of those rare venues that gives you both. A stunning backdrop and a wedding day that feels easy to be fully present in.

If your dream wedding looks like warm desert light, emotional vows, candid moments with your people, and photos that feel cinematic without being overly posed… this place absolutely deserves a spot at the top of your list.

Why Couples Fall in Love with The Paseo Wedding Venue

The first thing people notice at The Paseo is obviously the view.
And yeah, the Superstitions are insane in person.
But what actually makes couples love this venue is the feeling of the space. Everything flows naturally. Guests aren’t wandering around confused. You’re not constantly transitioning between disconnected locations. The entire property feels intentional without trying too hard.

The ceremony space opens directly toward the mountains, which means every vow happens against one of the best backdrops in Arizona. Then cocktail hour flows naturally into the reception area while the sun starts dropping behind the desert landscape. It feels calm. Grounded. Romantic without being overly formal.
Which honestly matters more than people realize when you’re planning a wedding day you actually want to enjoy.

The Vibe at a Paseo Wedding

A Paseo wedding usually feels less like a production and more like an experience.
You get this modern desert aesthetic without losing warmth or personality. The clean architecture keeps everything elevated, but the desert surroundings keep it relaxed and emotional instead of stiff. We’ve noticed couples tend to settle in really quickly here. The energy shifts from “hosting an event” to actually spending intentional time with the people they love.

Conversations linger longer during cocktail hour.
Guests stay outside soaking in sunset views.
People actually react when the mountains start glowing at golden hour.
And for couples who care more about connection than perfection, that energy changes everything.

Why The Paseo Is One of the Best Arizona Wedding Venues for Photos

From a photography standpoint, this venue is honestly kind of unfair.
The light here does so much of the work for you. Sunset portraits at The Paseo are unreal because the mountains catch warm light while the desert softens around you. Everything photographs beautifully without needing to force complicated posing or drag couples away from their guests for an hour. That’s one of the biggest things we love about weddings here: portraits feel natural and relaxed.

You can sneak away for ten minutes, breathe together, watch the sunset hit the mountains, and end up with images that feel emotional instead of overly staged.
And because the venue itself is already visually strong, you don’t need to over-design every corner just to make the wedding feel elevated.
The desert is the design.

What Makes a Paseo Wedding Feel Different

Some venues are beautiful but feel chaotic behind the scenes. Others are efficient but emotionally flat. The Paseo somehow sits right in the middle. The layout keeps the day moving naturally without making couples feel rushed. Ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, it all transitions smoothly without huge resets or awkward downtime. That means you stay connected to the actual experience of your wedding instead of constantly worrying about logistics.
And honestly? That’s usually what people remember years later.
Not whether every napkin was perfectly folded.
But whether they actually got to feel their wedding day while it was happening.

Best Time of Year for a Wedding in the Desert

Fall and spring are easily the most popular seasons here and once you see the venue at golden hour, you’ll understand why.

October through April usually gives you:

  • Comfortable ceremony temperatures
  • Softer sunset light
  • Better outdoor reception weather
  • More comfortable guest experience
  • Dreamy desert colors in photos

Winter weddings here can also be incredibly beautiful, especially if you love moodier desert tones and cooler evenings. Early Summer weddings are still possible but most couples lean toward later ceremony times once the heat starts dropping and The Paseo does close for most summer months.

Wedding Style Ideas That Work Beautifully Here

The venue already has such a strong visual identity that you really don’t need to overcomplicate the design.

The weddings that tend to feel best here usually lean into:

  • Organic florals
  • Warm neutrals
  • Desert inspired textures
  • Candlelight
  • Linen fabrics
  • Earthy color palettes
  • Minimal but intentional decor

The cool thing about The Paseo is that it works equally well for:

  • Editorial inspired weddings
  • Romantic desert weddings
  • Modern luxury weddings
  • Intimate celebrations
  • Colorful Southwest inspired designs

The venue adapts to your vibe instead of forcing one specific aesthetic.

Tips for Planning a Wedding at The Paseo

  • Schedule sunset portraits intentionally
Golden hour is the main character here. Build portrait time around sunset instead of squeezing it in randomly.
  • Don’t overcrowd the decor
The mountains already create a dramatic backdrop. Let the scenery breathe.
  • Consider guest comfort
Arizona desert evenings cool off quickly in certain seasons so blankets, heaters, or lounge spaces can make a huge difference.
  • Prioritize the experience
This venue shines most when couples focus on atmosphere and connection instead of overpacking the timeline.

Is The Paseo Wedding Venue Worth It?

If you want a wedding venue that feels visually stunning and emotionally grounded, absolutely. The Paseo gives couples something a lot of venues struggle to balance:

  • Incredible scenery
  • Smooth flow
  • Relaxed energy
  • Beautiful light
  • A wedding experience that actually feels enjoyable while you’re living it
It’s one of those places where people walk in and instantly understand the assignment.

The desert shows off.
The mountains do their thing.
The light turns cinematic.
And somehow the whole day still feels intimate and personal underneath all of it.
Which is kind of the dream, honestly.

Dreamy Backyard Wedding in Arizona

Dreamy Backyard Wedding in Arizona : Arizona Wedding Photographer

For their Backyard Wedding in Arizona – Alyssa and David knew they wanted anything but basic. Alyssa’s aunt offered to lend the couple their backyard and from there they made absolute magic happen! Alyssa and David dreamed of an epic celebration with their friends and family with an intimate dinner under string lights and man did they deliver. Their friends and family came together and made this day a total dream!

When clients decide on having a backyard wedding in Arizona our number one tip is to have couples make sure this space has plenty of good light and opportunities for photos. Alyssa and David’s family home was nothing short of perfection, they could not have had a more stunning wedding location if they tried! The property was massive with lush greenery and beautiful architecture at every turn making it incredible for photo ops at every turn.

Alyssa and David wrote letters to each other to read prior to the ceremony and it made the build up of seeing each other that much more special. Hand written vows or letters are always so special to witness at weddings. A little tip if you are getting married and stressed about vows – write them the day of! Some will say that it is crazy to wait or that it’s bad because it is last minute, but several couples have actually told us they prefer to write their vows the morning of! Writing your vows the day of your wedding is actually much easier because you are so in the moment already that words come easier than they normally would. Another bonus, you get cute photos of you writing your vows too if you wait until the big day!

Their reception space was created with the help of their amazing family and friends who hand strung the string lights, it was unreal. They were able to transform the ceremony space into an intimate and elegant space where guests could mingle, enjoy the delicious food and listen to music while they enjoyed each others company. It was the most beautiful backyard wedding in Arizona, we were honored to be able to capture every minute of it!

Wedding at Villa Mia Puerto Vallarta

Wedding at Villa Mia Puerto Vallarta

Back in January of this year Jessica and Andrew celebrated their wedding at Villa Mia in Puerto Vallarta Mexico and it was an absolute dream to capture! Jessica and Andrew chose us to document their wedding at Villa Mia Puerto Vallarta, this beautiful venue is located down the road to Boca de Tomatlán. This elegant ocean view villa resort is truly one of a kind. It’s a secluded villa with 54,000 sq ft of beach front property and only 20 minutes from downtown. The villa also has 15 bedrooms making it the perfect place to host your closest friends and family on site if choosing to get married here!

The villa is filled with tropical gardens, colorful architecture and breathtaking ocean views. We loved hearing about how Jessica and Andrew hosted family and friends days before their wedding at VIlla Mia too so that their guests could enjoy the magic here sipping margaritas, enjoying the ocean views and swimming away with the amazing weather in January. The couple spent the morning of their wedding get ready with close friends, listening to music and taking tequila shots! Every detail of this wedding was curated perfectly to fit the tropical vibe and from the florals, to tablescapes down to the color scheme – it was absolutely perfect.

After the ceremony finished we got to go out to the rocks overlooking the ocean for sunset photos and it was stunning. The rocks had a natural staircase formed so we could walk out over the ocean for photos while guests cheered from the balcony for Jessica and Andrew, it was super sweet! We finished the evening with a dinner lit by string lights, the most delicious dinner, dancing and churros! If you are getting married in Puerto Vallarta or simply looking for an incredible tropical destination to hold your celebration, I could not recommend a wedding at Villa Mia enough!

Desert Wedding at The Paseo | Arizona Wedding Photographer

Desert Wedding at The Paseo | Arizona Wedding Photographer

There is nothing more breathtaking than a desert wedding at The Paseo. The Paseo is breathtaking and a venue that couples come from all over the world to have their wedding day at. The large windows reflecting the superstitions, jaw dropping view of the Arizona desert and whimsical reception place is a show stopper for all guests.
For Alana and Jimmy, being able to enjoy the outdoors and nature with their friends and family was a huge must for their wedding day – they chose a late winter wedding at The Paseo and it was the most incredible day surrounded by so much love.

If you want to see the most dreamy desert wedding at the Paseo venue in Arizona, here it is! Jimmy and Alana’s wedding day was nothing short of magical. The wedding was at the Paseo which is a beautiful venue in the Superstition Mountains in Apache Junction, Arizona.

Alana and Jimmy rented airbnb’s near the Paseo to get ready at with friends and family the morning of, I highly recommend doing this if you have large groups staying with you or getting ready with you! These airbnb’s were next door to eachother making it the perfect space for both sides to get ready before heading to the venue.

Alana wore the most gorgeous all lace dress with a stunning long veil and Jimmy had a classic black and white suit with their bridal party in shades of red to compliment the desert background, it was absolutely perfect! I loved that they decided to do a first look and private vows before the ceremony together, it allows couples to soak it all in and not feel the pressure to react a certain way or even hide those feelings if they have a million eyes on them during the ceremony. For desert weddings at the paseo I love utilizing the big doors in the ceremony space for photos, it is one of my favorite areas in the whole venue!

After the ceremony finished we got to go out to the desert for sunset photos among the saguaros and cholla with the Superstition Mountains as the backdrop to capture the new couple! Being able to sneak away from cocktail hour and enjoy the quiet and sunset together is such a magical experience for couples. The Paseo really does an incredible job of creating such an intimate and beautiful atmosphere for the couples getting married there, I can not recommend them enough!

Fall Mountain Wedding at the Killington Resort in Killington, VT

Fall Mountain Wedding at the Killington Resort in Killington, VT

killington peak wedding photos

There’s something magical about a fall mountain wedding at the Killington Resort in Vermont. The leaves are changing color, weather is beautiful and temps are perfect for a cozy mountain wedding. Killington Mountain is the largest ski and snowboard resort in eastern North America known for long seasons thanks to abundant natural snowfall, Deryn and John are huge outdoor lovers and snowboard every season! They love the outdoors, hiking, snowboarding and really doing any adventure they can so when it came to choosing where to celebrate their love, Killington Peak was a no brainer!

There is no hiding the fact that I had been so stoked for Deryn and John’s fall mountain wedding at the killington resort – and it wasn’t just because I absolutely love fall foliage, mountains and epic views. Deryn was one of my first childhood friends before she moved to the New England area and we had always kept in touch on social media, when she reached out to have us document the wedding day I was over the moon! Not only is Vermont absolutely stunning and any photographers dream but being able to photograph a childhood friends wedding was so special.

Fall Mountain Wedding at the Killington Resort

It wouldn’t be a fall mountain wedding at the Killington resort without an epic hike for bridal photos and a first look, a gondola ride to the peak for the ceremony or hot spiced cider to warm guests up after the ceremony! Picking favorite photos from this wedding to blog was SO hard because I loved every single one! Deryn and John are so fun and genuine and easy people to photograph. They were truly just so excited to celebrate their love with each other and their families the entire day felt like a party with family!

fall elopement in sedona

For their Fall Elopement in Sedona – Peyton and Chase knew exactly what they envisioned for their dream wedding day. “We knew from the beginning we wanted to get married somewhere in nature and surrounded by family and friends. Sedona, Arizona is one of the places that takes our breath away and the magic you feel when you arrive in town in unlike a lot of other spots in Arizona. We knew we could find a hybrid of including our “People” during the day but also having our goals hit as well. We were really looking forward to going off alone with you all to do our adventure portion and have that intimate post ceremony moments captured with the epic sunsets and red rocks!”

Sedona is known to be one of the most magical locations in Arizona. The energy vortexes attract many couples wanting a more spiritual feel for their Elopement days. Also while also having an abundance of nearby hiking trails, wineries, and resorts. It is perfect for those who want to make a weekend trip out of their Elopement! The possibilities for Eloping in Sedona are endless. Being an Arizona Wedding Photographer has given us the chance to experience Sedona many times and never gets old!

Peyton and Chase wanted epic views and a secluded location for their Fall Elopement in Sedona. Having visited Sedona many times, we jump at any chance to off-road in our Jeep in the beautiful red rocks! We scouted a few months before their big day to find the absolute perfect location for their off road adventure! Couples are able to do Pink Jeep Tours to access most spots but for a more intimate feel, we always recommend renting your own jeep for the weekend or jumping in the Jeep with us!

Peyton and Chase opted for a breathtaking Airbnb to get ready at. Big open windows with views of red rocks, tons of natural light and a cozy backyard to gather with their closest family and friends for an intimate dinner after their big adventure! It was the perfect place to tie together all of the celebrations for their fall elopement in Sedona. Having a hotel or Airbnb that has plenty of natural light and space for you to get ready the morning of your wedding is a must! They spent their wedding morning getting ready with their families, writing their vows to each other and spending time with their sweet son! It was super intimate and sentimental.

fall elopement in sedona

After they finished getting ready we headed to Bell Rock to have a ceremony with their friends and family surrounded by beautiful red rocks. I loved how they made it unique to themselves and had a family member play guitar as they walked down instead of using music and how guests surrounded them instead of it being in rows like a traditional wedding. For their fall elopement in Sedona, Chase and Peyton prioritized an off road adventure to soak in the views and moments together as much as they could. I took them off roading in the jeep to a secluded location where it was only us (and a few pink jeep tours passing through!) we enjoyed a beautiful sunset over the red rocks before heading back to the airbnb for an after glow party. They were welcomed in by guests with sparklers before popping a bottle of champagne and enjoying company and a delicious catered taco dinner! It was such a beautiful fall elopement in Sedona and so special to us to be able to document it!

Sedona Winter Elopement | Sedona Elopement Photographer

sedona winter elopement

This Sedona Winter elopement was chilly but man was it beautiful! Emma and Lauren traveled all the way from the UK to have their elopement day in Sedona and it was pure magic. When I first spoke with Emma and Lauren on the phone to start planning their special day they were originally torn between the idea of Eloping in Iceland or Eloping in Sedona. I am a HUGE fan of Iceland, we even had our own vow renewal there! But ultimately they decided that Sedona’s incredible views, red rocks and magical energy just couldn’t be beat, can you blame them?

Sedona is beautiful year round in my opinion but the season’s do have a big impact on where and when the best time to get married here is! Sedona is busiest during it’s peak tourist seasons which is typically September-November and February-March. The weather is beautiful during these months but you do have to worry about crowding in certain areas and traffic! We do not typically recommend having your wedding during the summer months in Sedona. Not only is it insanely hot but there are also higher chances of monsoon storms that can cause flash floods and be dangerous. Going into their Sedona Winter Elopement Emma and Lauren knew it would be chilly, they are used to it living in the UK but the snow was an awesome surprise!

When couples decide to elope with us we help build your elopement day photo timeline based on sunrise or sunset photos at the end of the day. Most couples prefer that golden hour sunset but Emma and Lauren had a really beautiful sentiment on doing their ceremony at sunrise. It was important to them as a couple to watch the sunrise together that morning so that they could watch the sun rise on this new chapter on their lives. We hiked to the peak overlooking the town of Sedona and had the place almost entirely to ourselves to read vows. It was super windy that morning so we did cut our time a little short here and went to a warmer area to enjoy views instead!

Our second hike of the day for Lauren and Emma’s Sedona Winter Elopement had stunning views of Cathedral Rock in the background and an area lower to enjoy the creek. We spent some time by the creek before they sat down to read hand written letters from their families back home and enjoy a pre packed charcuterie picnic box from Sedona Picnics with some champagne! It was the perfect little treat before our last hike of the day. Lauren and Emma absolutely loved Oak Creek Canyon, the rock formations were stunning and an absolute must see on their trip to Sedona! To our surprise the day before the elopement Sedona happened to get a TON of snow and we were able to spend some time enjoying a winter wonderland in Sedona.

Thank you so much Emma and Lauren for trusting me to capture your Sedona Winter Elopement, it was a day I absolutely won’t forget!

Wedding at Schnepf Farms The Meadow

Wedding at Schnepf Farms The Meadow

Fall Wedding Season in Arizona is my absolute favorite time of year! The weather is cooling down, the leaves are changing and there are a ton more outdoor weddings due to the cooler weather. Guests can actually enjoy being outdoors without the higher temps and couples can utilize outdoor venues making it a win win for everyone! I especially love this wedding at Schnepf Farms The Meadow!

Holding your wedding at Schnepf Farms The Meadow is absolutely perfect for those couples who are wanting the look of forest with lots of greenery, gorgeous string lit intimate dinners and an all around cozy woodsy vibe. I especially love this venue for couples who live in the valley and do not want to have themselves or guests drive 2-3 hours up to Northern Arizona to get the same look! The Meadow is an absolute hidden gem because it truly feels like you are in Northern Arizona when you are only a short drive from any area in the valley.

We love when couples chose to hold their wedding at Schnepf Farms The Meadow also because of the amazing features this venue has! Some venues in Arizona make you chose from a list of their own vendors and you have to abide by that, with The Meadow you are able to bring in unique outside vendors to truly customize your experience. I was also a big fan of the cozy a frame for the bride to get ready in and the tent for the groom, it definitely added to the overall vibe of a woodsy wedding! Schnepf Farms also has other locations on site for couples to get married at aside from The Meadow, you can check those spaces out here!

David and Amanda’s Wedding at Schnepf Farms The Meadow was so special to me! They had a smaller guest count and really wanted to focus on keeping the entire day intentional and intimate. I absolutely loved the sparkler entrance they did into their wedding reception, most couples do sparklers as an exit so it made it really fun and exciting for guests to do this to welcome them in to party instead! They also brought their dog Duke in for photos and to enjoy some of the wedding with them and that was so sweet!

Red Agave Resort Wedding Sedona Micro Wedding

Red Agave Resort Wedding Sedona Micro Wedding | Sedona Elopement Photographer

Red Agave Resort Wedding

Natalie and Kyle flew all the way from Georgia to have their Red Agave Resort Wedding in Sedona. Knowing how important family was and how they really wanted to be able to spend time with those they loved most and not be overwhelmed by a large guest count, they decided early on in planning that a micro wedding in Sedona would be the best fit for their vision of their wedding day. Micro weddings are a favorite of ours, they are truly the best of both worlds! With micro weddings you are able to have the intimate parts of a low guest count like an elopement but also celebrate with a small group of friends and family. If you are wanting to incorporate some values from traditional weddings, want a smaller guest count but still crave the adventure of epic nature bridals and extra quiet time just you and your partner, I highly recommend considering a micro wedding for your special day!

Natalie and Kyle love the outfoors and the red rocks were so special to them as a couple! When it came time to deciding where they wanted to say i do, choosing a Red Agave Resort Wedding was a no brainer. Red Agave Resort is awesome in so many ways but a few that really sealed the deal for the couple was the insane red rock views from the property, the ability to transform the space to fit their vision of the day and the fact that the resort allows guests to stay in their a-frames making it super convenient for guests traveling for the wedding!

Picking favorite photos from Natalie and Kyle’s Red Agave Resort Wedding was SO hard. They are truly such kind, fun, genuine and easy people to photograph! They were truly just so excited to celebrate their love with eachother and their families the entire day felt like a party with family! A few things I absolutely loved that the couple did to incorporate more of the things they loved were the incredible details that Natalie had set aside for me to photograph.Natalie spent so much time picking every little detail to incorporate and I could definitely tell! I also really loved the taco bar, the neon sign for photo ops for guests, the live music and super cozy family style table they used to create an intimate setting for dinner!
